I make log cabin quilts using a basket of light strips and a basket of dark strips. I have a good fabric stash already, so the mystery fat quarters were a nice addition. I have to admit I wouldn't have chosen highland cows as an animal print but I will use it. The really pleasant surprise was a piece that was reminiscent of Van Gogh's "starry night" from the miscellaneous category.

Steam, wash, finish
Finally we steam to permanently bond the print into the fibres. Then we wash and finish the fabric. This ensures vibrant colors, little to no washout, and durable compared to surface digital printing using pigment inks. Don't settle for companies that skip this process.
